Kayaking Tours:

With the Guadalupe River right in our backyard, the Waring General Store is pleased to offer guided Kayaking Tours. Our trips range from a one-hour trip to a multi-day paddle. All guides are trained and knowledgeable on expertly navigating each section of river. Longer tours have the option for lunch to be provided. Overnight trips will have meals cooked along the river. Reservations are required for all group sizes and trip lengths, see below for some of our options.

Climbing and Zip-Line Adventures:

You will certainly be surprised with what you will find in Waring, TX.  The Waring General Store now offers climbing and zip-line adventures that are some of the most unique experiences the Hill Country has to offer.

Our climbing facility has been rated as one of the best in the area, and is one of the only wheel chair accessible ropes courses in the Southern U.S.. The climbing course is designed to help you to step outside of your comfort zone, and experience  a truly thrilling and one of a kind experience from start to finish. Featuring a trained and veteran staff,  all climbing adventures are designed for you to achieve new goals and heights while staying completely safe.

Our Zip Lines offer the same sense of adventure as the climbing tower, but with a hint of the flying sensation added in! This truly one-of-a-kind zip-line is nothing like the yellow-handled one in many kids’ backyards. Our 500 foot cable is long enough to give any thrill seeker the rush they are looking for.

Disc Golf:

Yes We Have Disc Golf!

We invite you to come and play our 9-hole Hill Country Disc Golf Course.

If you do not have any discs, not a problem. From Drivers to Putters, we can supply you with discs to play with.

Our course is exciting and well laid out as it winds through the scenic shade of our ranch.

Take your time, and test your skills, as there is never a rush of someone wanting to play through. Most of the time the course is all yours. Great for birthday parties and weekend getaways. Lunch and refreshments provided upon arrangement.
